Green Day – Sustainability projects
On 6 May, the Laboratory of Innovation and Technologies for Sustainability – LITecS took part in the ‘Green Day’ event organised by Green ethics, ASTA-Teatro and the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Beira Interior. The event took place at the Faculty of Engineering and was an opportunity to present different projects aimed at developing innovative solutions related to sustainability.
During the event, projects were presented that not only aim to sensitise students to different facets and approaches to sustainability, but also to provide them with the knowledge to develop sustainable technologies. These projects include examples from LITecS itself.
Projects such as Montanha Viva, Med-Wet, Robota-Sudoe and BioD’Agro, all developed in the laboratory, were highlighted during the event, emphasizing LITecS’ commitment to innovation and progress towards a more sustainable future.

On 2 March, the municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo held a workshop entitled “Agriculture 4.0: technology to aid decision-making” at the Casa da Cultura, at 2.30pm, as part of the BioD’Agro project.
