ROBOTA-SUDOE

Objectives: To technologically modernize sectors such as agri-food and plastics, focusing on challenging automation. Develop techniques for collaborative robots with innovative flexible grippers and solutions for repetitive tasks. Create soft grippers through additive manufacturing to package fruits without damage, using FDM and SLA technologies. Integrate computer vision and AI for Read more…

Montanha Viva

Objectives: To develop a decision-support system aimed at intelligent and real-time operationality in the economic exploitation of mountain plants, especially in remote locations (without communications), with the goal of stimulating the economic use of existing plants, increasing production, reducing the consumption of natural resources, contributing to the promotion of biodiversity and the preservation of environmental sustainability, particularly of wild mountain plants.

PAM4WELLNESS

The objectives are to enhance the appreciation and understanding of technical-scientific knowledge in the field of aromatic and medicinal plants (PAM). This knowledge stems from collaborations with various business entities and research and innovation (R&D) institutions. The goal is to achieve this through the implementation of effective and agile knowledge transfer processes to the business sector. The project aims to contribute to the economic and commercial valorization of the PAM value chain, specifically in the health and wellness domain.

Med-Wet

The objectives are to introduce and enhance irrigation efficiency for small farmers in the Mediterranean region, optimizing the use of scarce water resources to ensure long-term food and water security. It aims to support small farmers in adopting cost-effective, sustainable practices for irrigation and freshwater collection, promoting controlled water use combined with more resilient and regenerative agricultural methods that restore ecosystems over time, and contribute to increased value creation in rural areas.

BioD’Agro

The objectives here focus on developing an intelligent information and decision-support system for AgroBiodiversity in remote locations and natural parks, particularly in the Douro International Natural Park (PNDI). The system aims to incorporate sustainable agroecological practices that promote the maintenance and preservation of local biodiversity, while reducing environmental impact. This includes careful use of water, nutrients, and phytosanitary products.
