Workshop “Agriculture 4.0: technology to aid decision-making”, as part of the BioD’Agro project

On 2 March, the municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo held a workshop entitled “Agriculture 4.0: technology to aid decision-making” at the Casa da Cultura, at 2.30pm, as part of the BioD’Agro project.

Collaborative robotics – a project by the University of Beira Interior, which aims to develop robots to carry out tasks related to agricultural activity.

Researchers from LITecS – Laboratory of Innovation and Technologies for Sustainability were at Science for Industry, Madrid.

Mountains cover a quarter of the Earth, are crucial for water and agriculture, and are home to 15% of the global population. However, they face serious threats, such as desertification and loss of biodiversity, due to climate change and human activities. During COP28, the “Restoring mountain ecosystems” report warned of these problems and proclaimed 2021-2030 as the Decade of Ecosystem Restoration.
