A team of researchers from the University of Beira Interior (UBI) took part in Science for Industry, one of the largest international events dedicated to Deep Science, which took place in Madrid. The event was attended by researchers from C-MAST – Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Science and Technologies, who work at LITecS – Laboratory of Innovation and Technologies for Sustainability.

UBI was part of a group of international universities that exhibited and tested various prototypes resulting from projects such as PrunusBOT, Pack2Life, BioD’Agro, Robota-SUDUE, Montanha Viva, PAM4Wellness and Med-Wet.

The “ubiana” delegation at the event included Pedro Dinis Gaspar (lecturer in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering and researcher at C-MAST, coordinator of LITecS, the laboratory responsible for most of the projects) and researchers Martim Aguiar, Rodrigo Antunes, Ana Corceiro, Artur Frazão, Sara Marcelino, Nuno Pereira, Matilde Sousa, and Mariana Veloso (project grant holders), as well as Edgar Nave (GESPA) and Pedro Serrão (GID).
