LITecS played a key role in the major event celebrating the signing of a cooperation protocol between the University of Beira Interior (UBI) and the Luso-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILM), held on March 28, 2025. The meeting was a fundamental milestone in strengthening the link between academia, industry, and international partners.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Jorge-Alberto Yarte-Sada, President of the CCILM, and Minister Counsellor Ursula Dozal, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Mexico in Portugal. On this occasion, our coordinator, Professor Pedro Dinis Gaspar, was invited to present LITecS and its research projects.
During his presentation, Professor Pedro Gaspar highlighted the laboratory’s flagship projects, such as Montanha Viva and ROBOTA-SUDOE, along with other initiatives focused on precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and smart decision-support systems for sustainable development.
Participating in this event was an excellent opportunity to showcase the role of LITecS as a bridge between research and innovation, developing technological solutions that address real-world challenges. We thus reinforce our commitment to applying scientific knowledge to drive Agriculture 4.0 and promote sustainable development in collaboration with strategic partners.
