LITecS was pleased to participate in the Ciência Viva in School Meeting, a key initiative aimed at bringing science closer to students, educators, and the entire community. The event stood out as an important space for dialogue, fostering the connection between scientific research, innovation, and society.

The session was attended by a diverse audience, including CEiiA, civil protection services, fire brigade associations, companies, teachers, and secondary school students. In this dynamic forum, our coordinator, Professor Pedro Dinis Gaspar, had the opportunity to present our laboratory and its main research areas.

During his presentation, Professor Pedro Gaspar shared the mission and projects of LITecS, such as Montanha Viva and ROBOTA-SUDOE, illustrating our work in sustainable technologies, robotics, and agro-industrial innovations. It was an excellent occasion to demonstrate how LITecS’s research directly supports the technological growth of local companies.

Participating in this meeting reinforces our commitment to inspiring future generations and making science more accessible to all. We remain dedicated to building bridges between scientific knowledge and the community, contributing to the development of a more informed society prepared for the technological challenges of the future.
